Main Activities
Bullish’s main activity is operating a cryptocurrency exchange platform, primarily intended for institutional investors and professional traders. Bullish offers trading services for crypto-assets such as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and other digital assets, with advanced features like spot trading, margin trading, and access to indices and derivatives products.
The platform focuses on performance (very tight spreads, low fees), security (robust custody architecture, client assets held in 1:1 reserve, regulatory compliance), and transparency. Bullish also offers an API for traders wishing to automate their operations and secure custody solutions for digital assets.
Bullish’s target market mainly consists of institutional investors, professional traders, and experienced individual clients in regulated jurisdictions. The offering is aimed at participants seeking a high-performance, secure, and compliant platform for large-scale crypto-asset trading.
History
Bullish was founded in 2021, following a spin-off from Block.one, a company specializing in blockchain. Bullish was created with the goal of revolutionizing the digital asset exchange sector by combining the security, transparency, and performance of blockchain technology with the liquidity and speed of traditional financial markets.
From its inception, Bullish raised over $10 billion in capital and digital assets, enabling it to launch its cryptocurrency exchange platform in 2021. This platform stands out for its integration of a centralized order book and an automated liquidity pool, thus offering a hybrid experience between decentralized finance (DeFi) and traditional finance.
Among the key milestones in its development, Bullish announced in 2021 a merger project with the special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) Far Peak Acquisition Corporation, with the aim of going public. This operation was intended to strengthen Bullish’s credibility in the market and accelerate its international expansion.
Bullish has also formed strategic partnerships with financial institutions and major blockchain players to enhance the security, regulatory compliance, and innovation of its platform. The company has emphasized transparency by regularly publishing audits of its reserves and operations.
Over the years, Bullish has expanded its product offering by integrating new digital assets, developing advanced trading tools, and providing solutions for institutional investors. The company has also adapted its strategy to respond to regulatory changes and market expectations, while continuing its ambition to become a global leader in digital asset exchanges.
