The main activity of the Securities and Exchange Commission, Thailand (SEC Thailand), is the regulation, supervision and development of the capital market in Thailand. It ensures transparency, fairness and investor protection on the country’s financial markets.
The SEC provides regulatory services for listed companies, securities issuers, asset managers, fund operators, market professionals, as well as for companies active in digital assets (cryptocurrencies, tokens, etc.). It develops and enforces regulations, issues licenses, monitors market activities, publishes information and reports, and offers verification and alert tools for investors.
The SEC’s target market includes listed companies, institutional and retail investors, asset managers, financial intermediaries, financial services firms, as well as any entity or individual operating in the capital and digital asset markets in Thailand.
History
The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of Thailand is the regulatory authority for the country’s capital market. Here are the key milestones in its history and development:

The founder of the Securities and Exchange Commission Thailand (SEC Thailand) is not a natural person, but a government authority established by the Securities and Exchange Act of 1992. The current leadership team includes:
